Metro Ultra low emission fires

ULEB is an acronym for ‘Ultra Low Emission Burner’. Put simply, they are some of the cleanest solid fuel burners in the world with incredibly low emissions. ULEBs are tested using the real-life operating conditions of Canterbury Method (CM1) and must meet the Environment Canterbury milligram per megajoule standards as well as MfE’s National Environmental Standards (NES).

The Metro Ultra fires are the first New Zealand made and approved, single chamber, ultra-low emission wood burners. Meeting the ultra-low requirements of the CM1 test through incredibly low emissions even during the start-up phase using real life fuel. Compliance with both CM1 and MfE NES allows these fires to be installed anywhere in New Zealand including all homes in the Canterbury, Nelson and Rotorua regions.
